Our volunteers are compassionate companions who visit St Ann's parishioners in nursing homes, assissted living and those who are homebound. If you enjoy brightening the day of our parishioners please consider this ministry.  An additional benefit is that you will be part of a group of very special volunteers who truly enjoy visiting those in need of companionship.

WHAT WILL YOU BE ASKED TO DO?

Following a training session you will be assigned a parishioner to visit on a bi-weekly basis.  The visits will be at your convenience, normally a week day after 1 pm. The visits usually last a half hour to one hour. The program coordinator is available to join you on your first visit. You will be there basically to listen, to be non-judgmental and positive.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Most important is a Smile

  • Be a good listener

  • Be positive

  • Have a desire to serve

  • Your visits will be confidential
